AIR for Multi-Platform Development
Using ActionScript to produce AIR and SWF files that can then be ported as Mobile and Desktop apps.
The same code, often with minimal changes and sometimes none, enables the same production team to create a final file for any of the major platforms.
APK for Android, IPA for Apple iOs, BAR for BlackBerry PlayBook and AIR files for desktop deployment.
Of course SWF is also available for the web.
MySQL and AMFPHP
A lightening fast communication channel between your MySQL Database and your app. Comes with a very small footprint as well.
Flash Media Interactive Server
While streaming video is all the rage and no one does it better than FMS, it also offers plenty of other useful tools.
Audio Video capturing for live communications or saving video for whatever purpose your app has. Be it Video Email to Surveillance your video captures are saved instantly and readily available for the final user.
Shared objects are another feature of FMiS. These realtime commonly shared bits of data are stored on a remote server and accessible by all who are allowed. When UserA changes some data, like a bit of text or location of an object on the screen, all other users connected instantly get the update and the text is updated or the object moves across the screen, controlled by UserA.
FFMPEG
Server side re-encoding of your uploaded video files.
You can also take your freshly recorded video files from FMS and have them encoded to different formats, rotated or altered in some other fashion.
Those of you who have experienced Mobile ( particularly iPhone ) recorded video may have noticed that they do not always play nicely on all video players. Depending on your app and its requirements, this can be dealt with all on the server.
